I'm Tanuj Bisht, SF-based product designer, crafting data-driven, user-centered digital experience designs across diverse industries
I'm skilled in design thinking, UX/UI design, user research, design strategy, and service design. Recently, I graduated with a Master's in Service Design from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where I completed an award-winning capstone project on a Gen AI conversational bot called 'Otto: Building trust in semi-autonomous vehicles.' The project received a silver award and honorable mentions at the Indus Design Awards 2024.
I’m originally from Indore, a city in central India, where I completed an undergraduate degree in Engineering with a major in Information Technology, along with a multimedia boot camp. In 2011, I shifted my focus to graphic design, which led me to transition into this field.
By 2014, I had moved to Mumbai, India, where I continued my graphic design career and was introduced to UX design by a friend. This new interest led me to join a UX design consultancy in 2015, where I started as a UI designer and later developed my skills as a UX designer through hands-on projects. I had the opportunity to work on my first on-site design project in Abu Dhabi, UAE around 2017 for six months.
In 2021, I became interested in service design through collaborations with service designers and my friends. Pursuing a master's degree in design had been a long-time wish of mine, and learning about the Service Design program at the Savannah College of Art and Design in the USA excited me. I applied and was accepted to the college. In September 2022, I relocated to Savannah, Georgia, to pursue a Master of Arts in Service Design.
Currently, I have completed my master's and am based in the sunny SF Bay Area.
I enjoy traveling, hiking, volunteering for non-profits, listening to podcasts, watching movies and series or animes (soft spot for japanese animes), and learning German (ich lerne Deutsch)!
(Fun fact: I'm currently on a 1740-day learning streak on Duolingo app! )
